All smokers have the desire to stop smoking, but many lack the determination and strength to actually quit smoking. It takes more than a desire to stop this habit because of its high addictive nature. I present to you in this article easy ways to quit smoking without regressing back into the habit. They are very easy steps to follow, if you do these you\'ll find out that you\'ve dealt with the deadly habit without struggle.

The first step into this treatment is to have a positive attitude. Believe that it\'s possible to quit smoking without going back. The reason why most people fail is because they see the task as impossible - it seems to be so difficult to many to stop. You get it whichever way you see it. So, see it is to be very easy and possible.

Have a very good reason why you should quit smoking, write it out and place it where you can always see it. This will serve as a reminder as to why you must stop smoking. Whenever you have a feeling of discouragement, a look at the reason/purpose of quitting will rejuvenate your determination to stop smoking.

Choose the day (mark a particular date on your calendar) to stop and determine that after that day there will be no more smoking. When you choose the day make sure you keep to it.

Just before that day, stop your relatives, friends and acquaintances from smoking around you. No one should smoke in at home, in your car etc. Start avoiding places where people smoke like bars clubs etc.

You should gradually decrease you cigarette intake before the day you have marked on your calendar to stop smoking.

On that appointed day, stop smoking and throw away everything that might remind you of smoking. Do not keep any item around you that might tempt you to relapse.

Use nicotine replacement products to avoid withdrawal symptoms. A very good example is nicotine patches.

Get flavored tooth picks; put one in your mouth whenever you feel the urge to smoke. Get involved in any activity you love to remove your attention from the urge to smoke. Any time the urge comes find something interesting to do, that way you\'ll finally curb the appetite to smoke.

With these steps, you\'ll discover that it is easy to stop smoking. These are indeed achievable ways to quit smoking.
