Also keep an eye out for landline contact numbers and not mobile numbers. Make sure that it is in fact a real company and not just some individual who has access to your details.

You can also check the security of the website by the page you go to when you wish to pay. This page should be encrypted. If it is encrypted then you will see https://www in the address bar, notice the \'s\' after the http. You may also notice a small padlock symbol on the bottom right of the internet page. This all signifies that this page you are entering your credit card information on is encrypted. Be sure to check the company that is handling payment, which could be Paypal, Netbanx, Nochex, etc.

Checking the search functions on a dating site is very important. You can see how many members there are on the website but also can view the profiles and see just what type of people are joining this site. Are they professional, young, older, from overseas, etc. When you do join one of these dating sites, becareful as there are many fraudulent members out there who fool even dating website owners. These bogus members are there to trick you into giving them details online, or even to meet them overseas from the country they are from. This can be very dangerous. Keep clear of those that are from countries other than yours.
